Ashely Howard, LISW
Ashley has worked with children and their families for her entire post-graduate career. She received her Bachelor of science in psychology from The Ohio State University before attending New York University (NYU) to receive her Master of Social Work degree. While at NYU, Ashley completed two separate internships with an emphasis on trauma therapy. Upon graduation from her Master’s program, she returned to Columbus, Ohio to begin her career working with families in an intensive setting.
Ashley takes a holistic and systemic approach in her treatment by assessing clients’ strengths and struggles in all aspects of their lives. The intensive home- and community-based treatment has afforded her the experience of coordination care with schools, other treatment providers, the juvenile court system, and other important figures in a family’s life. Ashley is trained in Multi-system Therapy (MST), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Collaborative Problem Solving. She draws upon her education and training to create individualized treatment for every child and family.
Ashley is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
