In-Home Family Therapy

Our specialty is providing Intensive, Home-Based Therapy (IHBT) to struggling families. Our services include 2-3 sessions per week, 24-hour on-call support, coaching, and case management provided by your clinician.

  • Therapy begins with an assessment lasting approximately two weeks, during which we will seek understanding of problem behaviors and consider solutions. We will develop a family plan that may include behavioral modification tools, safety plans, activation plans to increase activity and motivation, and plans for school success. This plan will serve as the foundation to our work together and allow stabilization of chaos so that we can address the deeper issues.

  • Our treatment is informed by evidence-based models including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Family System Therapy. We focus on systemic therapy, which considers the way symptoms are impacting your child individually, at home, at school, with peers,  and within the community. We work hard to make appropriate adjustments in each of these areas so that your child is back on track for success.

  • Our family and individual therapy is flexible depending on your family’s needs. We use individual, whole family, and parent-only sessions as need arises.

  • We keep small caseloads so that we are available to your family.

  • In addition to therapists, we serve as case managers and help coordinate and maximize benefits from each member of your treatment team. We will, whenever possible or necessary, attend psychiatry appointments, individual therapist appointments, and any school meetings. We like to get creative about how and where we can help create success!

  • We are flexible about accommodating schedules, and all sessions occur in your home and community.

  • In order to assess our efficacy, we use outcome measures during treatment and will share the results with you as we go.

Crisis Support & Coaching

In addition to sessions 2-3 times a week, our therapists are available to your family for crisis support or family coaching, 24 hours, 7 days a week.

  • We help diffuse crises by coaching families through your individualized family plan and by completing safety assessment and planning. We also assist in developing plans together that will ultimately prevent crises.

  • We are available to coach and directly support your family through crises in a variety of settings: at home, at school, at after-school activities and practices, etc.

  • We are dedicated to helping families learn from crises and continuously develop plans to prevent them.

Home Transition Coaching

At Home Remedy, we understand the complexities, challenges, and joys families experience when a child returns home from residential treatment.

Our home transition program is a specialized coaching program designed to support you as you navigate the significant transition of reintegrating, reconnecting, and restoring after an out-of-home treatment experience.

We are dedicated to providing expert guidance, tailored strategies, and a supportive framework to ensure a smooth and successful homecoming for your whole family.

All of our coaches are licensed therapists with years of experience providing intensive home-based therapy and crisis intervention; often, working with youth and families after many other treatment options were unsuccessful. Due to our foundation in family systems work, families will work with one coach who will provide coaching support to parents/caregivers, youth, and the family.
